As the Graduate Project Officer, Commissioning and Performance, you will play a vital role within the division by providing support for both daily operations and long-term strategic initiatives. This position entails the effective preparation of reports and briefing notes, along with active participation in divisional business plan projects. The Graduate Project Officer will be responsible for delivering timely, accurate, and evidence-based advice, as well as contributing to data analysis, financial analysis, economic analysis, and statistical analysis on matters relevant to the Commissioning and Performance Division. 

Key Responsibilities:


  • The Graduate Project Officer, Commissioning and Performance will contribute to work across the division by assisting in day-to-day operations and long-term strategic projects.
  • This role will involve efficiently preparing reports, briefing notes, and actively contributing to divisional business plan projects, providing timely, accurate, and evidence-based advice and contributing to data analysis or finance or economic or statistical analysis on matters related to the Commissioning and Performance Division. 
  • Contribute to the development of activity based management and funding through developing of cost allocation models.
  • Participate in a culture within the Commissioning and Performance Division where there is an expectation of excellence in customer service, product delivery and professionalism.
  • Actively contribute to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the Commissioning and Performance Division.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Appropriate Degree level qualification obtained in the prior three years.
  • Knowledge of the South Australian Health System is desirable.
  • Understanding of project management methodologies is advantageous.
  • Experience in use of MS Office suite and software products.
  • Ability to work under limited direction and to effectively prioritise work activities to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing, particularly drafting business communication such as emails, reports, letters, and technical documentation, whilst complying with relevant probity requirements.
  • Ability to research and analyse information, including the ability to access data, and to summarise information concisely and accurately. 
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and achieve agreed objectives. 
  • Understanding of obligations when dealing with confidential information and managing disclosure of sensitive information in a commercial context and/or a politically sensitive environment.
  • Experience undertaking research and analysis to identify trends.
  • Undergo and provide a clear National Police Check.
  • Willingness to provide immunisation records (due to healthcare environment) a minimum of 2 COVID-19 vaccinations are required.
