Key Responsibilities:


  • As a PSCM Graduate, you will hold a pivotal role in supporting the procurement and supply chain function. This entry-level position requires hands-on experience and development of crucial skills within the supply chain management field.
  • Undertake strategic sourcing and contract management including collaborating with senior procurement professionals, assisting in evaluating suppliers, analysing their capabilities, pricing and past performance.
  • Participate in sourcing arrangements, supporting the preparation and evaluation of tender documents.
  • Understand and support demand planning and inventory management.
  • Assist in business support functions including reporting and analytics.
  • Foster positive relationships with suppliers, promoting ethical conduct and sustainable practices as well as collaborating with internal stakeholders across SA Health.
  • Actively contribute to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the procurement and supply chain branch in the Department for Health and Wellbeing.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Legal, Economics, Finance, Business or an appropriate degree level qualification obtained in the prior three years.
  • Experience collaborating in a team environment to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Demonstrated customer service experience characterised by identifying customer needs, and delivering quality and timely services.
  • Proficiency in managing priorities and making strategic time allocation decisions.
  • Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and contribute to workable solutions.
  • Excellent written communication skills, particularly in drafting business communications like emails, reports, and technical documentation, while adhering to relevant probity requirements. 
  • Clear and succinct verbal communication skills, along with the ability to build rapport with colleagues and stakeholders. 
  • Comfort with learning and utilising various technologies.
  • Undergo and provide a clear National Police Check.
  • Willingness to provide immunisation records (due to healthcare environment) a minimum of 2 COVID-19 vaccinations are required.
